First 2014 Newsletter, New Year & New Website!

Hello Cycling Friends,

We wish you all the best to enjoy a wonderful New Year and may everyone be healthy and happy in 2014. It is likely you are spending these days to get back in the groove of everyday business following the holidays, so I thank you for taking any moment you may have to read this brief newsletter.

Steve Bauer Bike Tours Inc. is back in action after re-engaging its exclusive trip programs in 2013. Even though we never stopped operating bike tours during the Canadian Pro cycling team endeavour from 2007-2013; we have re-engaged focus. Please have a peek at our new website which already highlights some of our 2014 offerings. On the program are two outstanding signature trips to the Giro D’Italia and the Tour de France. Each of these race shadowing excursions will feature the most exciting and suspenseful stages during the final week of these Grand Tours in May and July respectively. If you are keen to challenge the climbs of a few famous epic mountains, indulge in exclusive accommodation and be guided with utmost personal care and attention, then don’t hesitate to book your bike trip with us. We will be happy to discuss these great trips or other custom trip plans to ideally suit your bike travel needs for your particular group.

Steve remains hands on and continues to enjoy guiding these trips personally. Last year, Steve rode his bike more than ever since retiring from competition in 1996 so he remains fit and ready for some fun riding with you in 2014.

On the Canadian front Steve envisions 2014 to be an exciting year for cycling in Canada. We are all awaiting with enthusiastic anticipation the grand opening of Canada’s new Velodrome in Milton broadly set for Aug/Sept '14. Steve is staying current with the build and the plans for cycling program initiatives to be created for this amazing new facility which will boost our country's cycling sport potential and provide a fantastic multi-sport venue for surrounding municipalities.

Ensure that you keep your wheels turning on the fitness front throughout these frigid days (at least in Canada) and be sure to dedicate some indoor training time. Keep the legs pumping and we would love to have you on the road with us in the near future.

Cheers from all of us at Steve Bauer Bike Tours!
