Our newest Race trip for 2007. The Amgen Tour of California!

Come to ride along the highway 1, the most picturesque west coast road of California.  Have the chance to sip on site some excellent Pinot Noir wines of Santa Ynez Valley.  Watch the pro’s going head to head on the climbs, time trials and stage finishes.  Get your cycling season kick-started by putting some long slow distance riding on the same great multitude of terrain endorsed by Lance Armstrong and, still, The Discovery Team during their early season training camps.  It is a spectacular region to enjoy while your get fit.  As always, Steve Bauer Bike Tours will put you in the heat of the action with V.I.P. treatment at two of the Amgen Tour of California stages.  Don’t miss it. The all important critical Time Trial will take place in Solvang on February 23rd. Our group will continue to follow the race south to watch the final high speed circuit race finish in Long Beach, Ca. 

Steve Bauer spent the entire week in Cali during the 2006 event checking out this young and exciting bike race.  2006 was a great American showdown between Landis, Leipheimer, Hincapie, Zabriske and more.  Floyd Landis showed his early season good form by winning the Time Trial and carrying the Gold jersey to Redondo Beach for the win.  Who will come out on top next year and lead the Americans to a fantastic 2007 racing season?
