The Steve Bauer Bike Tours Team
We could not be doing great tours without our enthusiastic team of cyclists both in the field as tour guides or at head-office as trip consultants or administrative assistants. From the moment you contact us, our team is at your service, ensuring that once you have joined up with a Steve Bauer Tour, it's time to put your worries aside.
Our tour guides are attentive personable people who are there to keep you on track, keep you energized with drinks and snacks, make any equipment adjustments, and more importantly, make sure you are safely on your way. They can be your eyes and ears at times, pointing out potential dangers on the road but also the interesting sites, views and wildlife that you wouldn't want to miss.
At Steve Bauer Bike Tours we always ensure an excellent guide to guest ratio. We feel each trip is a little different and analyze how much guest support is needed for each program. Some of our large corporate group outings may require as many as 12 guides to execute a quality worry free itinerary. On our Tour de France trips we will have a minimum of four and often 6 guides to a maximum of twenty two guests.
Separate from our tour guides on the trips, we also have our "soigneurs" back at the office. These people are making sure all your questions on the phone are answered in a timely and efficient manner. They may be less visible but they play a key role in team and trip management, and their attention to detail and continuous effort to deliver quality work, contribute greatly to your enjoyment of our trips.
